Default converting to e85

I have about 1/4 tank of 93 octane... im going to the dyno tomorrow and tuning for e85... does the tank have to be completely empty and filled with only e85 for the dyno tune or can I just fill up the remaining 3/4 with e85?

You need to have it as low on gas as possible, as the gas will lower the ethanol content. In reality it needs to be E85. Depending on what part of the country you live in what the content of E85 really is. Did you install larger injectors? You do know E85 requires about 25 to 30 percent more fuel, right? I run it in my 650 hp sbc in my race car and have done so for the last 4 years. I test every batch I buy, for ethanol content. Are you driving to the tuners? How far? It would be running real lean until the tune is complete. Good luck with the tune. I'll never go back to gas on the race car, the engine runs so clean on ethanol. May I ask why you want to change over? Your car a race car or street car?
