OK, I guess I should elaborate a bit....

I am pretty much a "keep it stock" sort of person. I am not opposed to upgrades / improvements but I am not really looking for more performance.

The car already has plenty of performance, and my days of throwing a car around corners, breaking the back tires loose, etc. are behind me.

I did those things in a
1) 1970 Dodge Challenger 440 Magnum
2) 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda 383
3) 1971 Corvette coupe
4) 1973 Corvette convertible
6) 1966 Chevy II SS

Trust me, you haven't lived (and I almost didn't) until you have come into a curve, turned the steering wheel on a 1970 Challenger that is pushing through the air at 130 mph plus, only to find out that the front end is floating, and there is no turning. Thank goodness for three lanes wide and a banked curve.

My goal these days is top down meditation, in a car that I don't have to constantly work on, or that my wife complains about because it is 5 different shades of paint / primer.

A set of factory manuals will be needed if you plan on working on the car yourself

You need to get a cool Hawaiian shirt to wear while you drive. It doesn't have to be corvette oriented, but it needs to be comfortable. Have fun with your Chevy. These cars are the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

New C5 Owner here. Very good advice already given, to just drive your car and take some time to discover what you like and what you would like to change about how it rides, how you feel inside the cabin, etc.

Two things that I did purchase which I feel has made a world of difference for my own confort level when driving my car was those custom arm rest pads (I got mine w/o the logo and I think it matches the interior much better), and also the padded center console pad (again, two tone to match my interior w/o the logo).

Performance mods to follow, after I know better how the car drives and what exactly would make me happier. Enjoy your new car. I certainly do!
