As part of my Grand Sport project, I installed the E2 catch can tonight.
Looks like a well engineered piece. I bought the black can with black AN fittings and the installation looks very clean.
I did run into one issue - the upper bolt was too long...it bottomed out in the hole in the head. I wound up cutting about about 1/2' off the bolt with my dremel to resolve the issue. Now that it is installed, you cannot tell the difference.

I will try to get a pic up tonight...sorry about that...totally forgot to take a pic while I was out working on it.
Yeah, I checked it - it is actually part of the aluminum casting of the head that partially blocks the hole. Basically, the hole is threaded for about 1/2" - then, probably another 1/8" in, there is some aluminum casting (on the right side of the hole as you are looking at it) partially blocking the bolt's path and effectively making the bolt bottom out. I did not want to crack the head, so I didn't try to crank on it. Perhaps it is just casting flash and would have broken right off, but I did not want to take a chance.
Anyway, it is installed and looks fine now. I did put a drop of red thread locker on each bolt/screw to ensure nothing vibrates loose.
I must add I didn't see inside the top of he can, only the reservoir.
I wrote to EE right after I posted above and a little over an hour later Steve wrote back and told me there should be mesh in the top of mine and let him know if it does not.

That's some A1 customer service.
Yes, I checked and the mesh was there. Looks like a first rate product.
My customer service experience wasn't quite as good as I tried to deal with the bolt issue...but that is in the past now.
OK...so almost a year and 2000 miles later, I checked the can and this is what I found...I thought there would be more, but I guess I am happy there isn't...
This is it...maybe 2 tablespoons of oil
I poured it into a little plastic cup to see better in pics, but don't think it helped much.
