Default Brake Upgrade Suggestion

'99 FRC - I have upgraded the shocks, bars, and end links - Borla exhaust. I am looking to upgrade my brakes - rotors, pads, stainless lines. Looking at slotted/dimpled rotors, HP pads, stainless lines. Stock wheel/tire size. Considering Nitto Invo tires. This is my over-the-road business/pleasure car. 80% highway. Good weather only car unless caught in a storm. Love the 30+ mpg. Will see 3-4 track days for fun. 57K - 3rd owner - knew the previous owners. Maintain car religiously - preventative. Very satisfied - no desire for C6. Right now leaning towards EBC Stage 5 brake system - maybe with red Z06 calipers - not a deal breaker. Any help/suggestions welcomed.

There is no upgrade with the red Z06 calipers. they are just standard C5 brakes painted red. No need to spend 500 dollars when a 5 dollar shaker can of red paint will achieve the same end.

Are you going for looks or performance? Performance wise get a set of blank Centric rotors and pads I prefer Carbotech, they have several compounds if your doing track days XP10 and XP8 are great options can be driven on the street safely. Than get some DOT 4 fluid and SS lines.

Performance over looks! By "blank" - do you mean solid - slotted, dimpled, or drilled?

Baer rotors with Hawk HPS pads would be products to consider. Also, consider Hankook Ventus V12 EVO tires - a very good tire and not a high price.

Lots of great options depending on how you use your car. Research it you'd be surprised.
