I deal in buying repairing and selling damaged vehicles not quite sure what your 1st question is. As for the 2nd. Yes and no. There is value in everything but a repaired vehicle will never be worth what a virgin vehicle is. Obviously the more severely damaged it is the more severely devalued it will be. For those that do not deal in vehicle repair for a living or at least on regular basis many times it look like a heck of a deal and cheap easy fix but 90% of the time it is anything but. If you miss something it is very easy to run into the repair costing as much as you spend on the vehicle in order to be done correctly and to make the vehicle safe.
I would not recommend getting involved in buying a damaged vehicle and having it repaired. That imo is a recipe for complete disaster. However if you plan on keeping the car and can buy the car right (roughly half of good title vehicle) as long as you can verify the car was repaired correctly then you can get a great deal on the car you want. Being a corvette especially a z06 it's not the same as repairing your average Malibu parts can be expensive, difficult to find for a decent price and it has to be done right by someone that is used to repairing these types of performance vehicles.
