The right side rear quarter panel light is out on my C5 how do you get in there to replace it?

On my Z06 I pulled the carpet back from the trunk area and was able to access it to change the bulb.

Take out the outboard rear taillight housing, reach in and remove the side market light socket from the fender housing and replace the bulb. Easy as that.
