Yeah, your right. They were already there. Sorry for taking so long to respond, been busy this last while.

If so can you list that for us? Cam, LT headers, mufflers etc?

Did he give you the Dyno sheet tuning that was done for the mods he performed?

Did he tell you what the Dyno results were?

Heads up for you but the 2001+ all came the the LS6 manifold already so he probably didn't add that!

Thanks,Matt

I did get some dyno sheets, etc. She has 417hp at the rear tires. I have couple of attached sheets here. I would appreciate anyone from giving some advice on the computer part, I keep getting a code, the computer doesn't like the amount of gas she is getting. P1153 is the code, and the guy I have for a mechanic doesn't have a tuner yet, he feels a tuner would help, does anyone else have this kind of set up, and what did you do?

LOL... I already can't get out of second gear in town, barely get to hit the throttle hard in fourth. As much fun as that sounds, I think I will keep it just the way it is for a while. Who knows, maybe in a few years I will want more. For now, I will just try to avoid any speeding tickets, and enjoy the feel of the car.

Nice car and nice performance numbers.

The P1153 is an 02 sensor code error. Pretty common with headers.

Here is an article about checks and repair.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/articl...-tube-headers/

BTW,

This could be an exhaust leak as well. Make sure your header gaskets are actually secure and not leaking. Could also be related to your tune!

At any rate, congrats on the purchase! She's a beaut!

Thank you very much for the responses from everyone. I really appreciate the compliments on her.

I looked at your link, and my mechanic had his reader linked up on the car, and it was in closed loop, so not sure that that scenario is what is happening, but thank you for that, you never know, I could encounter it. I am taking her in Thursday to have another look, he found a leaky oil gasket, so he's going to replace that, and check the motor out thoroughly. If its the tune, hopefully when he gets his machine, I will have no more troubles.

Thanks again for all the feedback!

Sounds and looks like you got a real nice car. It looks great. The LS1 is a very dependable engine. Some of them tend to use a little oil but even that doesn't seem to be a big problem. They aren't the fastest thing on the road by any means. A lot of factory cars these days have as much or more horse power. The LS1 is still fast and makes the C5 a blast to drive. So go out and enjoy your beautiful new toy and welcome to the forum.

After I wrecked my C4, I thought I would never have another Corvette (my C4 was a fluke). My girlfriend talked me into the C5, she's a keeper.

Welcome to the forum and very nice ride.

<edit> I don't go much over 3500 RPM in my car unless I'm playing. You don't have to wind it out, there is a lot of power on tap at 2k.

I think that is a great idea, although I am thinking my car isn't going to be best in a quarter mile. I would like to take it on a track that has some turns, and some straightaways, some serious driving.

Thank you. I was really attracted to it from the first time I saw it on the internet, when the previous owner posted it. Luckily, I was the first to call, and believe it or not, he drove to me so I could test drive it. It didn't take long to make a deal. I had never driven another car like it. Can you tell I am still in a state of euphoria?
