Cam/headers question
How you doing guys. I've got an 04 Z16 that I just got and I'm already getting the modding fever. I'm waiting on my b&b bullets to get in, but I want your input on what kind of cam and headers I should go with. I do not plan to make the car a drag car. The occasional track trip yes, but not dragster. I want a mean cam, while not affecting the drivability a ton. I don't want to have to constantly stay on the gas pedal at stops. As far as headers go, what are the best ones for the buck and hp that will also go well with my b&b's. I do not want to do a WHOLE hell of a lot to the car so I'm going to stop at a cam, headers, exhaust, and CAI. I've already got a vararam. Also what kind of tune should I get once I purchase all of these mods? And last question, from anyone's experience what is the best short throw between the hurst and the b&m? I want the shortest throw without giving up quality. Thanks fellas

Drivability is all personal preferences. I have a TSP 233/239 cam on 112LSA and I don't mind driving it everyday. Also, the tune that is done when the cam is put in will have a huge affect on driving it. My original tune had my idle A/F at like 10.7-11.1 and coming to s stop was hairy at times since it wanted to die. I had it retuned a couple months later and had the idle fix, which made the car a new monster. Headers will be more about fitment than anything as you won't see a huge difference in power between different makes of the same size (i.e. 1.75 or 1.875). I have ARH 1.75 long tubes and X personally. Also, I recommend getting new lifters. I am an idiot and didn't do that with the big cam I have and had to get new ones after the first dyne run after they went bad. Cheers.
