There are countless buyers out there that aren't afraid of modified cars. Ask the right questions, get a feel for the seller, do your research and homework on the parts he used for his build, and there shouldn't be an issue! You can save thousands by buying someone else's project. Many times though, we all have a particular vision on what we want our car to look like, drive like, sound like, etc so it's pretty rare that the EXACT car is for sale when you're looking. I almost bought a car that had the EXACT mods I wanted to make, but the seller had swapped the flip-up headlights for cheesy aftermarket lights and I simply couldn't live with that.
Looking for some feedback as to what you'd consider fair market value on my 02' Z linky.
I reluctantly have it up for sale. There have been many low-ball offers of the $22k variety.
Regardless of the C7 release, this car can't be a $22k Z. What do you think?
I wouldn't take a penny under 27k. the car is beautiful. I have bought and sold alot of modified cars over the years. I prefer a tastefully modded car suited to my taste instead of buying a stocker. The reason being is you cannot mod the car for asking price in most scenarios. It may take some time. Also when buying a car I look at the condition of the sellers home, garage, etc. It is quite obvious based on the pictures. That you are very particular regarding your "stuff." GLWS!!!
I agree take the mods off and sell seperate. I paid 21 for my 02 with 14k miles from the original owner back in september. The cars are nice but they arent gold. Lots were built. Kbb trade in is the max I would pay. Thats still pushing it bc kbb is overpriced. Something to consider is not everyone has 20k+ in cash. So getting an autoloan is a must. A bank isnt going to lend more than the value bc of mods.
