Targa top frame?

Targa top frame?
Is the Targa top frame the same on both painted top and glass top? I'm curious as I have a chance to buy a painted top cheap enough to replace with a glass panel if they are the same.

Can't answer your question but it honestly seems like an awful lot of work for something you can buy outright pretty easily. Check the C5 Parts section, they come up periodically... 
Or...
I have an extra clear top I'd trade for a painted top of any color. It's not in pristine shape, I bought it used from a CF member quite some time ago and I had planned on replacing the clear with a carbon fiber panel or covering it with carbon fiber...
