temp range?

Default temp range?

posted these questions in C4 section by mistake, 03 has been running up to 260, does come down to 240 when clear traffic, is that too high, fluids seem topped off ok, also , this is a convertible and yellow button you release deck with only works intermittently, most of time I have to pull release cable!!! pain in the butt, any ideas, or anybody else had this problem? thank you for any help, Tom

260*, even 240*, is too high. Your car should run around 190-200* on the road and maybe 220-225 in stop and go traffic.

Check to see if you have a lot if debris in the radiator area and if not, you will have to check other possibilities like stuck thermostat, bad water pump, collapsed hose, clogged radiator, etc.

Clean the radiator, these cars are bottom breathers, just last week there was a similar thread.

Every fall before I put the car up for the winter, I clean the radiator and the udders. Have never had over heating or wiper motor problems.
