Summer Projects Almost Done! (Pic Heavy)
American Hydrocarbon is doing a few of the pieces and covers for me and should be done is a couple of weeks. I think this is going to look amazing once it is done! Its going to be a little out the norm for under hood stuff. The hood was just picked up from paint shot and is ready to go.
1.) Hubs and Radiator-I have no pics of the hubs and the radiator is barely visible in the pic below as the shroud is off being done. These 2 projects were done by the folks at Phoenix Performance, they are a forum vendor and they do such great work, highly recommend them. The radiator is Ron Davis unit and the hubs are SKF with extended studs in the rear.
My car looks a little torn apart right now:
This is my previous hood which has been sold to another board member:
2.) Hood. This is the hood waiting to go on. I bought this one used as well from another board member and had it repaired and painted. I'll put it on once I get the engine bay are put back together and also I need to find the nuts that hold the hood hinges on to the frame. I can believe these came up missing.
3.) Steering Wheel Quick Release- I swapped to an NRG Quick Disconnect which allows me to still keep the horn working. A little heavier than the other application I had on before with little to no play.

I got the car back today from some additional engine work and tuning so I said WTH, we went ahead and put the hood on. It was just too tempting. There's a couple of striker adjustments to be made but overall not bad getting it lined up.
I love the look it gives the car.

Thank you, it's an older BPP kit put in by the original builder of the car. Honestly, not very helpful kit for lighting purposes. At that height, they don't make much a difference. I'm contemplating pulling the whole thing out, the only thing that stops me is the fact that the wiring is so intermixed with other wires it would be time consuming to run it all down. I'm sure there are better options out there these days.

Like the hood!
