As noted on another thread, I had the recent experience of using "the passing gear" (old school term ) and experienced a top for me at 120. It was my 1st time to punch it and stay on so I was surprised at the ease of 60 mph to 120 mph. (my miscalculation warranted the excessive rate.....lesson learned no sermons needed lol) I am now curious as to the rate from 60 to 120. Zero to 60 is well published but 60/120 I haven't found. It "seemed" to be just as fast as 0 to 60. I will not be trying it again to find out on my own so if anyone has track experience let me know......thanks.
hey thanks for the site.....I guess that time is not a commonly documented time. I never gave it much thought myself until I experienced it 1st hand and it left me with the feeling of "that seemed pretty quick". I became curious as I wondered if it could pull 60/120 at or around the same time it pulls 0/60. By the way it is basically a stock set up with cat back exhaust. (only known mod as i am 3rd owner). I would assume it should take a little longer than 0/60 time due to physics, but she also seems to like to pull at the higher rpm range which may offset some of the physics.....anyway, I learned my lesson about the "longer than normal" application of the right pedal to the floor...lol
It takes a little longer to go 60-120 than 0-60, but not by a large amount. Pulls pretty hard most of the way up, and the sense of speed makes it seem quicker than it actually is. Now if you were heavily modded and scrambling for traction, that could be a whole different story

Still a little while out, but A&A is the next major mod on my list
After driving a massive yukon for years, the c5 seems like a rocket even when it is stock. I am not sure how you guys keep those modded monsters with the big horses on the ground.......

you get used to it then after awhile you feel slow again...We should have a 60-120 list with vbox confirmation. of course I never thought a c5 was quick anyways but you will see after some seat time..

Your right.....i can see that happening (getting used to it) and then the bug of "just a little more" biting.. . . but strictly for a street use car that the family will be driving sometimes, I had better leave as is for now. It is plenty fast enough to get me arrested with a big fine attached! lol

C5 of Year Winner (performance mods) 2019
depends... if I think I can take the other car easily or just seeing what they've got then I'll go from 3rd and if I'm serious I'll go from 2nd... 2nd gives me a little better hit but it's a quick shift to 3rd so be ready lol
