Default Supercharged Z06

There always seems to be a handful of supercharged Z's for sale, inc. an '04 with 12k miles that I was looking at. I know nothing about superchargers in general or how they affect value when making an offer.
Effect on engine life and other components makes me wonder about even considering going down that path.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Jeff

There are lots of supercharged cars out there. How the supercharger effects engine life depends on how the work was done and what was done and how the car was driven afterwards. As to how it effects the value also depends on what was done, how well it was done, how the car was used, and how much the buyer wants a supercharged car. Generally it will add little value to the price of the car.

Find out if there are other aftermarket modifications that will support the added horsepower, like clutch, trans/diff braces, and upgraded drivetrain components. I think there's lots of guys that are old hot-rodders, and now they have the disposable income to modify their cars, but have no desire to abuse them. If possible, buy from an older seller, and preferable a car that hasn't changed hands a lot.
