looking to see if anyone else has had this problem,abs/tracs light is on only code is a c1263,someone told me a control unit,alot of money for a guess anyone else heard of this,any help greatly appreciated,2000 corvette

That is a right front inlet solenoid valve malfunction. Will look in the FSM later (not home now) and see what it says. Could be a bad solenoid or what controls it's operation.

I assume you have tried to clear the code? If so, it may or may not come back. Worth a try, it's free. Might also try removing the negative battery cable for 5 minutes and see if rebooting the electronics helps but that normally is only good if an issue is in the PCM or BCM.

Not good news. This was the shortest diagnostic I have ever seen in the FSM. It basically says there are no external diagnostics you can do.

It just says if you can't clear/delete the code and have the problem "eliminated" then you must replace the EBCM.

I did an internet search and could not find anyone who has had this code and fixed it. Maybe they did but did not post any update. Not sure if any ABS rebuilder can help since you have a pre 2001 car. Sorry about the news. However normal braking is unaffected.

Lol just my luck,well break out the wallet,looks like i get to buy a control unit,thanks again dadaroo,car is sold as soon as i get this fixed,hope to buy another one,will not be a 2000,i do love this car even with the light on in dash,new owner does not want it on.

If you can't find some one who can repair it you may have this car for a while.
