Default Normal coolant temperature

It is 80 degree here in S. California.

I drove my C5 Z06 for normal cruising speed and coolant temperature hits 228 high and came back down to 220, Is this normal?

What are normal coolant temp and oil temperature with normal driving VS competitive driving?

Thanks

You ever blow out the radiator from below? Its a bottom breather, leaves and debris get caught in there and can block some airflow. I use an air pick with my compressor and blow it out twice a year.....

with the ac off it's normal

with the ac on it should stay under 210 or so, even if you're sitting in direct sun

As stated above you should make sure that your radiator is free of junk. If you need to clean it, a forum member has a very good link on his website:

http://www.toquez06.com/radiator.html

Factory temp settings are low speed on at 226 degrees and off at 219 degrees. High speed on at 235 degrees and revert to low speed at 226 degrees. As stated both fans run at low speed and high speed and fans are commanded off by the PCM when the
vehicle speed exceeds 35 mph.
You can force low speed operation at 185 degrees by turning on the AC. High speed
operation with AC on is still 235 degrees.

Yes, Radiator looks pretty clean.

With AC off, car is in parked or stop position, coolant temp is going up to 228 ~ 230 degrees, then it comes down slowly to 210 degree when the fan blows.

Is this normal for all of your C5 Z? or should I change my radiator?

Thanks

I think your temps are on the high side--in 100 deg weather in vegas--my car runs 196-205--sitting in traffic it might hit 210--that's it-your not in any danger as these cars are meant to run hot--your temps come down so everything is working-
