Some how my passenger seat on My 2001 broke. There seems to be something broken on the seat on the right side where the back meets the seat. The back on the right side seems to have very little support. When you seat in it the right side seems to give way. All the electronics to the seat seems to work fine. Just no support on the right side back. It seems as though something has snapped inside.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so what is involved to repair this? Thanks
If you pull the recline handle up, it should reset. Each seat has two lock pins that engage the seat back, so you can set the back to any angle. More than likely the " pin " is not in its seat on the right side. by pulling up on the handle it will pull both pins out of their anchor point. you can then reset the seat back.
There is a lot of good info on this site. I did as some of you told me to do. I took the seat back all the way to the front and back. PRESTO!!!!
The seat seems to be fixed. Tomorrow I will take a ride with the wife to be sure. Thank you all.
I just had the same experience a couple of weeks ago, thought the seat was broken. Same thing fixed mine, pulled the lower recline handle and moved it to both ends of the range and it locked back in. I got that tip off this forum also.

You're lucky that fixed it. The wife probably would not want to hear she needs to cut back on the pasta.
