Targa Top Windleak
A pretty annoying windleak started occurring on my 2004 C5 right where the targa top weather stripping meets the A pillar weatherstripping. It starts getting really noticeable at 65 mph and it is this really loud whistling noise that just sounds painful to hear.
The leak occurs right at the point where there is a little bulge in weatherstripping if you are looking at the windows, and again it is where the targa top and the A pillar weatherstripping meat.
Anyways when I am driving if I put my finger against the weatherstripping (or apply a little pressure to it) the windleak goes away no problem so I am wondering if there is someway I can apply a little pressure or reseal that point on the car.
I am going to run to Autozone tomorrow to apply some Dialectic grease to the weather stripping to see if that helps at all, but aside from that does anyone else have any suggestions or ideas on what I could do to help it?
I also just replaced my window regulator on that side recently, but I made sure to get a pretty darn good seal with the weatherstripping. This only started happening today after I rolled the window down when on the freeway, prior to that there were no audible windleaks.
Thanks for the help and ideas in advance!
