Default Help with VATS key

I lost my spare set of keys and FOB a while ago and looking to replace them. I have already ordered my FOB and now looking to order a new key BUT I'm not sure my values are correct.

I set the multimeter to 20 Kohms so it read 1 .0 before reading. When I took the reading I got 6.00, with a variation of 6.03. Looking at some charts I don't see these values, unless I'm using the wrong setting on the meter...any help appreciated.

Thanks

Assuming you are reading the resistance correctly, and I think you are, you need the #12 resistance key. Each key # has a resistance tolerance range or the design concept would never work.

Here is a link (post #10) that tells the tolerance range for each one.
