Corvettes and Oregon...
Spent the last week visiting the kids in Southern Oregon....over 100 degrees for over 13 straight days. Saw only one Vette for the week. Wonder how my Vette would deal with that heat? Back in South Florida now to cool off...in the 80's.

There's been some really hot weather in the Pacific Northwest and like a lot of other cars, Vettes don't have any problems with heat as long as the cooling system is serviced per the recommendations in the owner's manual.
GM always test their cars in extreme heat and extreme cold to make sure they work in any climate.

No reason why the Vette wouldn't handle the heat just fine, but if I had my choice, I would certainly take the 80 degree temps.

I grew up in Oregon... I don't know about this weather, but it was cold and wet the 18 years I lived there.. I always said that I would sell my corvette and my motorcycle if I was to move back there. I dont want a vert or a targa top in a place like that. That place destroys seals fast, and there's no point in performance vehicles in all that rain. I lived on the coast though..

I lived in Dallas, OR for 3.5 years and later Eugene, OR for another 4 years. If you like rain, it's the place for you. Starts raining in Oct and don't quit till May. 100 degree heat is pretty unusual for any stretch.
Speaking of the heat, I've been living in Phoenix, AZ since 2008. 110+ is pretty normal here during the summer. Not so great on cars that get left out all the time. I keep mine in the garage at home and park in the shade whenever I can when not at home. Darker colored cars fare the worst and sun scorched headlights are very common.

I live on the Oregon Coast. On my trips to the Central Valley, mostly up and down the I-5 corridor, my heat gauge usually read 212 or so depending on how I'm driving. Usually the summer day time temps are in the 90's in the Valley and on the coast the summer highs are mid 60's to low 70's. The winter weather in the Central Valley is snow. On the Coast the winter weather is rain with daytime temps in the high 40's to mid 50's. We get a lot of rain here but I drive my 98 all the time and don't worry about the rain. One does have to be more defensive in the rain.
