Default Elec Issues

Just read a couple of post on elec issues and locations of ground points ..... great info fellars ... I have a elec problem with my fuel sending unit on the high side of the fuel gauge (full) does not work but if I run just below a 1/2 tank it works. Do you smart and bright as hell guys think it's my sending unit inside the tank or just a dumb ground. Already tried fuels additives. Help?

I'm not sure you have an electrical problem and just a guage problem that can be corrected.

The C5 has 2 tanks and 2 level sensors. The IPC gauge uses input from both to determine the level to display. The way it determines the level to display is very unique.

The system is designed to empty the right side first.

You may have a faulty right side sensor such that until it is empty the gauge does not begin to display a correct reading.

Many have used Techron to resolve this issue with sensors. Not sure what you added.

Pull your DIC codes and tell us what it shows. The sensor may just be bad and it does happen.

Not at home now but will look to post how the system works later for you.

If you need help with how to pull your codes from the instrument panel let us know.
