Sorry for your mishap, I know how you feel. The first thing I did with my first C5 was to mis-judge a parking block at the dealership after the test drive!! 
Thankfully, they had it touched up by the time I picked it up the next day.
I would be very curious to see more pics and info on the purple C4 in your avatar!!!! Looks beautiful!! (Or is that Black Rose? Tiny pic and old eyes, can't tell for sure.)

The PO of my C5 apparently liked to sand down the tops of parking curbs with the underside of the front fascia. OMG what a collection of scratches!
Well, I ordered an aerosol can of Sebring Silver paint (had to be custom mixed) and a can of clear coat and went to work on it when I did the front splitter. Not a professional paint job for sure, but it is the bottom of the fascia and can only be seen if you lie on the ground anyway. Looks 100 times better than it did.
