I've had two gm driver's side regulator/motors now on my 30k miles 03Z06. Within a year after second one, you would have to bump door to get it to make contact and go down. I finally had to remove door panel and knock the crap out of the motor to make contact and go down, and that problem has gone away. Now it is creaking a whole bunch trying to go down, more so when "cold". I suppose that's a regulator problem, not repairable. Do I need to go ahead and just buy a new regulator/motor and if so, from who?

I had similar issues with the my passenger side window. The tech at the dealer opened the door cleaned and greased something in or around the motor and I've had no issues since.
The RockAuto prices were very good for Delco units, looks like I will go ahead and order them and have them on hand. It still irritates the crap out of me that a GM part only a few years old will corrode to the point you have to replace them or remove and clean up the contacts.
Thanks for the replies.
