Corsa Xtreme Exhaust. I'm not really sure how to describe the sound difference, but it sounds much more full. It makes it seem like the engine really comes to life whenever you hit the accelerator.
The plan is to do an intake and a set of headers as my next upgrade, but it will be a little while before I will be able to get to that. I'm pretty happy with this for now!
Excellent! Did you do the X-pipe while you were at it?
I didn't get the X-pipe. To be honest, I have never known anything about cars. I have been trying to learn on the fly over the past two months or so since I got my Corvette.
So I went into the shop that I was getting the exhaust and having it installed planning to get the X-pipe done at the same time. What they told me was that if you have the exhaust and the X-pipe then it does sound better. But they said that I should upgrade the headers as well, and whenever I was able to do that, they would have to take the X-pipe off when they put the headers on. So they recommended not doing the X-pipe and saving that little bit of extra money to upgrade the headers at some point in the future.

Haha! I can already tell that is true! This car is a blast to drive, but I am already developing a list of things that I would like to do as I get the finances to do it. Seems like everytime I log onto this forum, I see an awesome mod done by another user that just adds to that list I'm making.
I'm sure there are a ton of users that could answer this better than I could. But here's the way that it was explained to me....
The exhaust by itself may add a little bit of HP, but not much if at all. What the shop said was that adding headers, as well as possibly an intake, would be one way to really add more HP. But they said that the HP gained by the headers would be limited due to the restriction in the airflow of the stock exhaust. They explained it by talking about getting more air in (the air intake), more air through the car (the headers) and then pushing more air out (the exhaust). And if at any point if there was a restriction in that airflow, it would limit the total amount of power gained.
Again, I'm not at all a car guy (yet), so maybe they were just trying to make a sale. But it did make sense to me when they explained it that way.

You are on the right forum. Continue to learn all you can - it will save you lots of frustration AND money!

Shop gave you the correct advice. Love my Xtreme. Enjoy!!!

I did headers, CAM, Intake all at once (still on stock exhaust). I added the Xtreme a couple months later. You could really tell the difference from stock as the engine really needed the extra flow the corsa provided. Sound is great as well
I had the Pace Car(I think) on my 99 with long tube headers and cats...loved the look and zero drone but I wasn't crazy about the sound-too high pitched/european sounding, I think the extreme round better but I LOVE my magnaflow bullets on my 01
