Today during our practice runs after the auto-x race i had what I am worried is a pretty big issue. I was going into a tear drop turn when letting for the gas the car went into REP. I got the car off track and popped the hood only to find some oil sprayed onto the passenger side of the hood. The oil was also on pretty much everything in the passenger corner in the area forward of the motor. The spray pattern is in a front to back direction starting form roughly where the oil filler cap is.
Here is the interesting part: I was able to start and drive the car home with no issue at all. Oil temp and pressure where normal, as well as coolant temp being normal. I did a quick check of the oil on the dip stick and it did not show the symptoms of a blown head gasket, but I won't be able to actually check the oil till tomorrow at the earliest.
Has anyone ever had this issue before, or any idea what it could be? Thanks
