Default Road Trip "Brattleboro, VT"...

Got a late start due to expecting rain. No Rain, "We're outta here".
Main highways just to escape the Boston area, then Back Roads and by ways all the way across north western MA to Brattleboro, VT.
What a Great Drive.

HIGH POINT...
As we're making a very low speed turn onto a side road, there, in about three cars is a 64(?) COUPE BIG BLOCK with SIDE PIPES..
As our windows passed, all I could do was LOUDLY say "NICE"...
BIG SMILE ON HIS FACE AS HE WAVED...

PIX too.

While in Brattleboro, parked to make a pit stop and some ladies and a young boy walked by the car, the little boy was "ALL OVER" the car, I watched from my distance amused. As they passed me, I spoke with the boy and he was all agog over the car. "I've NEVER seen a car like that....!!!
(Really?) Deprived Childhood right there.
I asked if he had 'internet' and he said Yeah... I told him to google corvetteforum...
He was WIDE EYED... "REALLY?"... yep!

As Friday was my 65th, my grand daughters bought me a present.
Their grandmother came to the forum (only place she could think of) and they bought me a travel mug.

I LOVE IT!

First off, happy belated birthday.

Sounds like a great road trip, and even better that it was in the Vette. Nice pics you took.

Yep! NH & VT have some really nice country roads. I was in Brattleboro on Saturday, as a buddy (he in his Viper, me in my C5) and I were cruising the scenic roads of VT, stopping at various "sites" along the way. A perfect weekend for getting away from the rat race.

What a glorious trip. My last corvette was a C5. Wonderful car all around. Not as handsome as yours.....that is really an attractive color

Well, I'd sure like to run into that coupe again.
Y'know "THAT SOUND" ???
When you KNOW it's a BIG BLOCK.... (and it's got a CAM)....
The side pipes were fully functional too.

One of those "my plain corvette" moments.....
But NOT like when you run into some snooty nosed C 7 (I'll not say the description) owner.

Vermont, a great place to visit, I have a summer home on Lake Champlain. Not a great place to live, cold, high taxes and terrible politics. Even a worse place to retire where they tax your social security, the state income tax is one of the highest. I go there every year and renew my disgust as a vacation, no longer a resident.

How the Hell do they get away with taxing Soc. Sec. benefits?!?!?!?!? That is just wrong on so many levels!!!!!!!

So dump that place in VT and move it on across the border to NH, where we don't tax anything (much). We could use another sunny disposition such as yours, DDaaryl.
