Default Borla back order - 12649 straights

Finally decided to put exhaust on my Z, tried ordering Borla 12649. After quite a bit of research decided that for the price, these would be great. I've searched high and low and can't track a set down. Seems to be back ordered everywhere, any one have any insight to what Borla is working on? I heard from Autoanything they may be revamping it. Anyone hear anything else?

Thanks!

No idea what's going on at Borla but have you tried the classifieds here?

I have a set on my '03 Z and they're LOUD!

I'm likely to take them off and put the ti's back on in a couple of weeks as I need to get the car back to being DD friendly.

Hi guys, thanks, I have been looking on the classifieds but didn't see any. I would be interested if you were ready to part with yours. What kind of shape are they in, how long were they on the car, where are you located and of course - what would take them off your hands?

Thanks!

They've been on for about 1.5 years. I bought them used myself from a member here.

I think I will take them off in about 2-3 weeks or so. Just moved so life is hectic now. Going to find an exhaust shop to swap the ti's out because I just don't feel like driving 30 minutes to the shop to get a lift and spend the time doing it.

I paid about $200 for them and would part with them for less than that. I'll keep you posted on what my timeline is for removing them and will obviously send you pics if you're still interested.

Edmond,

I'm definitely interested. I have a set ordered but it's expected ship date is out in September. Mould prefer to pick up a used set like you mentioned. Let me know as you get settled and have a chance to get them swapped. I'm up in md near Baltimore,so if your open to shipping them, I'll take them off your hands. Keep me posted.

Just throwing this out a while ago i had on GHL exhaust took it off and sold it because of the finish and the lining up issues so I put on the Borla S type 2 exhaust first before i did headers and what a difference how loud this thing is. I'm glad i did not go with the Atak system. Just giving you some info on this Borla system. Don

Great info, Z06Cracker - I wish these weren't on back order for the next 4-6 weeks! Cause I can't wait until the car sounds mean, like it should! I called Borla yesterday for some extra details, they didn't have anymore specifics. They haven't scheduled a production run at this point. I ordered the set up on 8/4, they told me to check in next Monday to see if a production date has been assigned.

if you DD your car they can be annoyingly loud especially highway driving...I had them, loved the sound but when I added the headers I had to remove them, because it was ear bleeding loud

Hi 2003Evo - do you still have them... :-)???

I'll take them off your hands if you do.

Car is a toy - so it needs to be loud and proud!

I run them on my C5 Z06 and wouldn't trade them for anything else. However, I don't daily drive my C5Z.

They have them here also at a great price.
