Default C-Style Wing Installation Help

Hey all,

For those that have a C-Style Wing like this...how did you install it?

My shop says the fit isn't all that good and is suggesting to possibly anchor it with bolts/screws from the rear, and use double sided tape on the sides.

Carbon Creations said to put the spoiler in the sun to get it pliable, and simply use tape.

I see that others on the forum have supposedly used only tape successfully.

Of course, I'd rather not have holes in my bumper if I don't have to...

For those that have this wing, how did you install it and how has the fit/longevity been?

Thank you.

Moto mine had to be worked a lot and it's still not great. But once we got it to look good mine is held on my 3m tape. Mine has been on for 4 years now and it's been fine with just tape.

Thanks Tcruse...

I'm also wondering about sticking the spoiler to freshly painted fenders? Paint that hasn't perhaps fully cured yet? My bumper isn't getting fully repainted but the new fenders are.

I'm wondering if the adhesive would have any issues...and if I should wait some weeks before putting the spoiler on.

Hmmm.

I think that's something you should ask the painter. My guy put my spoiler right on and called it a day.

I only used tape. We put three layers of tape on the car then got the spoiler centered and applied pressure for a while (10+ min). She's not coming off. Would recommend 2, maybe 3 people. One spotter and two to install. I did not use any tape on the sides.

Thanks, yours looks great...did you by chance stick down the "fins" on the side that run along the fenders?

You car looks awesome man.

Thanks.

We didn't use any tape on the side fins. I think most people do though. I don't feel it's necessary.

Mark the center of the car & wing to get a perfect line up.
Red "heavy duty" 3m tape around the ENTIRE edge of wing.. Install on a fresh clean surface on a warm day.
