Well I finally got around to completing 2 big projects that I had planned for a while. First was a pair of racing seats, not sure what make as there aren't any company name on them. I bought them last fall from a guy on craigslist for $200. They are Black/Red and brand new that he bought to put in his integra but the car was totaled before he could instal theml. The red is almost spot on to the mod red interior of my Z and I added a Z06 emblem on the top to make the look stockish. I mounted them on the power bases but they seem to sit a little high so I will probably switch to to the manual sliders that came with the seats with a custom mounting bracket. Sitting in them is totally night/day over the stock seats and you really do feel like you are connected to the car. Second Mod was the addition of a C6 steering wheel. I bought the wheel over christmas from forum vendor APSIS. The wheel was modded to fit the C5 steering shaft and I modded the airbag assembly with a working airbag for the c5 as the c6 airbag will not function with our single stage system as the c6 is dual stage. I had this idea about 2 1/2 years ago and after seeing a fellow forum member complete this project I decided to go ahead with it. The wheel is a beautiful piece of work by APSIS it is black/torch red leather with extra padding thumb grips and the flat bottom. The diameter is a little smaller than the C5 wheel and feels super comfortable in your hands. Overall I am super please with these big changes and might be done with the interior (yeah right). Next big project........Prochager Supercharger

Very cool
Any more details or pics you can share on what it took to get the C5 airbag to mount onto the C6 wheel? I'd love to do that myself.
Very nice... May I ask where you got the bezel w the guage pod?
I already had a double din bezel but I sent it in to Dennis at DoubleD Mods to have them fiberglass in the guage holder were the wanna be cup holder was. Dennis and his people do amazing work.

You can't use the C5 airbag as it is to big to fit inside the C6 housing. I ended up using a single stage airbag from another GM model. I used the instruction a fellow forum member posted a while back. I am going to search and see if I can find his post.
