Default Need Help With Warning Lights Display

I really need some of you vette experts advice. I have an 02 ZO6 with 30K miles. Yesterday when I started it the "service active handling" and the "service ABS" warning lights came on and stayed on. I drove about 30-40 miles, turned the car off for about an hour. When I started it this time neither light stayed on, and hasn't come on since. Except at initial start up when they all come on so you can see they are functioning properly.
While the warning lights were on, the entire time the message bar kept repeating the same warning as the lights did.
Do I have something strange going on? I hope one of you guys can help me with this problem. Thanks, Doug!

Pull the error codes, see what they are, clear the codes, drive the car for a bit, pull the codes.

The error codes should say if there is an issue. It could have been a communication issue, or it could be a real issue.

Thanks-66dts-v: So it is OK to just erase any codes that show up the first time around? I hope this is all that is wrong, but even if there is some problem, it will be the first since 02 so that's pretty reliable. Thanks for your advice, and any other thing you can teach someone new to the Corvette Family! Doug
