Does anybody know if they still make GHL bullets? My mechanic recommended them to me and they sound great on his dad's Corvette. When I search for them I can't find them or a price.

Yes they are still in business.
Thats what I have installed (See post #14)
I tried a few other exhausts and LOVE the GHL.
Great rumble and no resonance or drone.
The 4" chrome tips are nice too.

Like Toque said, they do still make them but the price has jumped up and they don't have them in stock last I checked their website. There was a fairly recent issue with quality, though, because apparently they moved production off shore at some point. Fitment was a problem after that, and there were more than a few customers who were left holding the bag with no support from GHL to fix it. No bueno. Do a search of the forum and you'll find a thread or two on it. Word was they moved production back stateside, but not sure if that is true or not.
That said, sometimes a used set will pop up on the forum - they go quick. If you can find an older set, you're golden. I scored the magnums a while back - same basic system as the bullets, except slightly smaller cans (5 inch vs. 6 inch) and different tips. GHL doesn't make them anymore, at least not to my knowledge. They were cheaper since I think Magnaflow made the tips for them, unlike the bullets which GHL made the tips for in house. The magnums do drone a bit between 1500 - 1800 rpms, but it's nothing too bad. Nice rumble otherwise, and they absolutely sing mated to my AR headers.

I am not aware that they have resumed any production.
Currently there is no address or manufacturing going on.
The last time I heard from Jeff, he did not know what he was going
to do, including trying to sell the GHL name
Everyone is going to have their own preference on what exhaust sounds best. Your best bet is to find others in your area with different exhaust set ups and listen to their cars.
That being said, I have LG street header and BB Rt 66 catback and DMH electric cutouts. With the cut outs closed, my car has a little bit of a rumble where I can hear my cam. No drone, but it would be nice if it was louder. Hence the electric cutouts. When they are open my car screams. When I'm pulling into my neighborhood I close the cutouts and the car goes back to semi quiet
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That being said, I am VERY pleased with my Corsa system. Not only sound great, but also seen a 12% increase in MPG.
I think the recent exhaust from Borla's new Atak and S type 2 are worth the money. When they first came out a bit pricey but I got a great price on mine at Maryland Speed with my Headers. I have not found many people that put this exhaust on. Love it.
I haven't really heard an exhaust on a C5 I didn't like. Some are just louder than others. And some have a lower pitched rumble like a Borla or my Mid America Quad Powers. I also like Magnaflows but they aren't as loud as some others.

I agree, I love My ATAK. Well worth the money. ZERO drone.
B&B Bullets, Headers and High Flow Cats. It is the best sounding exhaust, imo, albeit a bit loud (which I absolutely love). Turns heads everytime it starts up and gets compliments everywhere. Makes the car sound like it means business! Wouldn't change this setup for anything else. I had mid america quad exhaust (the quieter one) and it sounded terrible.. Too raspy/pitchy and the mufflers were too heavy hanging there..also looked sloppy. I know someone who has the other mid america exhaust (the more agressive one) and that one sounds pretty darn good. A friend of mine has Borla and it sounds good (and looks good). Neither of the others have headers/cats though and they are not that loud, if that's what you're looking for. Take a listen to soundclips on youtube. That's how I eventually picked mine.
Best sounding exhaust is completely subjective. But with that being said, I'll add another vote for the PRTs. I have them and love them. They were on the car when I bought it, so I can't speak to the cost/value. I love that they are loud when I get on it, rumble while idling, but are basically stock sounding while cruising on the highway. That's exactly what I want. If you don't do as much "regular driving," you can probably get away with a more aggressive exhaust, but I think it would be too much noise on my 600 mile trip to the beach.
Had Borla Stingers installed on my '01 this past weekend at Carlisle and they do drone at certain RPM's and pop on decell but will install an X-pipe shortly...but they do sound good !!
