I remember this one quote;"I never use ABS. I just pump the brake pedal 120 times a second." signed, COL. Steve Austin (retired)

I would turn it off if I feel like it. Unless, it's wet surface, I like to have full control of the car and power delivery. Having TCS kick in is like a ruined orgasm.. lol

I never mess with TC on the street unless its time for a burnout... No other reason to have it off on the street.

On track I prefer OFF as opposed to COMP mode. I like knowing that all the corrections are my own, not the cars. If there was a way to disable the ABS, I would do that as well on track.

Go to Comp mode when doing spirited driving in the twisties mountain roads.

On all the time in traffic. Why turn it off when in heavy traffic?

After I had my supercharger installed for about a month, I decided I would do a WOT pull with traction control off. Holy ****! On the throttle, spin, let off, on the throttle spin, let off, repeat. Wild ride.

My car didn't come with that little dial on the glove box. Is it possible to add it now, with OEM parts? That is about the only thing that the car is lacking, and if it makes that much of a difference, I would be interested in installing it. What exactly does this do? I was thinking it was for ride only, ie suspension, am I wrong?

Almost never turn it off, I even forgot to turn it off last time I was at the track. No wonder I couldn't do a good burnout

Turned it off once in a parking lot, tried doing a 360 and put a little to much pepper on the throttle and scared the bagesus out of myself...now it stays on...haven't tried turning it off at the track just yet

Bingo, but we must consider the macho effect of some drivers..

Yea, there's a button with a car doing a burn out (TCS) and the magnetic ride control switch. They're both different and affect different things. I think that'd be cause for a more complicated analysis of the setup with each.

i.e.
Touring + TCS On
Touring + TCS Off
Touring + Comp Mode

Sport + TCS On
Sport + ...

etc. etc.

I personally don't have magnetic ride control.

I end up with a bunch of codes on the front left wheel related to Active Handling.
I've heard this mentioned in other threads, and I'm wondering if anyone has an authoritative answer to the following question: is there actually any connection between the TPMS and AH/TC? The reason I ask is, every search I've made for that combination gets hits for C6 only (not C5) and there's is nothing I can find in either the TPMS or ABS/TC/AH sections of the 2004 FSM that indicates there is a connection. (I mention 2004 because (1) that's the one I have, and (2) there are DTC's that changed somewhere prior to that model year, e.g. the C2105/10/15/20 TPMS Sensor Malfunction codes are missing from the 2004 list.)
The only TPMS-related item mentioned in the ABS/TC/AH section is in the scan-tool data section where it refers to the 'TIM' (Tire Inflation Monitor) input, which is just a yes/no value indicating whether TPMS is installed. But none of the subsequent diagnostic procedures ever refer at that input.
