As most C5 owners know - the aluminum 'racing' pedals look great but can be very 'tricky' when you have on shoes with leather soles or shoes are wet. Mine have 'almost' slipped off a few times.
Does anyone know of some type of 'cover' or inserts for the holes that can help prevent this? I've looked thru most big name parts companies (Zip, Eckler's, etc) without any luck. They just have replacement aluminum pedals.
I have the Grid version of these. They work great! excellent grip on the brake while heel-toe downshifting if you do track days. Or just all around good grip for when you get in the car with wet shoes. Gas pedal is smooth so your foot still slides on it like normal. Great Product!
I think this would work.
You could cover the floor and other areas with newspaper, then spray that rhino spray used for pickup beds as a liner.
I can't say how long it would last, but for sure it would be an inexpensive way to solve the problem if it holds up under constant use.
It seems pretty durable in truck beds.
Just a thought.

I have the Block version and they're great. Even with wet driving shoes on a damp track day, my feet never slip. I highly recommend them. I got mine from Chip at CCA.
