I just got my mufflers removed and now my exhaust is straight back from the axel.
Simply sounds amazing for only $80
But eh issue I have is the exhaust has a lot more movement because it no longer has those support points that were on the muffler.
I'm trying to think of a way to tighten it up to get rid of the movement. Also there is a spot where the exhaust will hit on acceleration. It's the same spot the you would normally install the corvette logo on the back.
I was thinking about putting something between the exhaust and the spot where it keeps hitting like a piece of one sided foam. Problem is the heat would melt it. Any ideas?
dang that is going to be hard to get something to move those away enough to accomplish what you want done. you may have to have them mod that pipe more to get it to clear i.e put some bend(s)..and your trans I would wipe it down clean it and see if all that come's back if it does you could have a small leak

Yea with the trans I'm glad I got the extended warranty haha
As far as the exhaust goes even if you bend the pipes there is still to much movement that I really don't think the bends would matter

Looks like you may have a leak in the gasket between the tranny and the rear diff. I had a similar problem with the '00 I had - dealership ended up replacing the gasket and never had a problem again.

I hope it's something that will not be reoccurring. So far this stupid warranty has turned me down for everything if they turn this down we are going to court
