Default Need help with Rims for C5Z

I was wondering if anyone is running these wheels. They are C6 Deep dish 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 wheels for a C5. The shop selling them said they fit C5 vettes but doesnt know if they will clear the bigger brakes of the Z06. They are 54m front and 56 rear offset. Offset should be fine. Any help appreciated thanks

C5 Z06 brakes are identical in size to regular C5 brakes (the only difference is the red paint on the calipers). If they clear one C5 they will clear all C5's.

Base C5 and C5 Z06 share identical brakes... the only difference is the Z06 brakes are painted red.

Another thing.... please dont get those wheels unless you want to make a pretty Z06 look bad.

Plus a sleuth of other companies that makes quality and much more attractive wheels than some cheap and heavy knock offs that will slow down your car.

how much can you spend? the TSWs for a grand would be my vote for a best buy. they are some of the better china wheels with a rotary forge design.

most of the custom wheels are worth 25% the cost of your entire car

unless you're a c5 diehard that has the mod bug the tsws come in 19x10.5 and 18x9 and allow modern sizes of 295 30 19 and 265 35 18

you don't want 18/17, no tires available

This. CCW's and the like are insanely priced IMO.

If you want wheels that are not gray/black (TSW lists silver/machined as existing but they are NEVER in stock anywhere, I searched for 6 months), there is the Cray Brickyard which is also made the same way by TSW and in the same sizes.

Alternatively, I really like the stock polished thin spoke base C5 wheels. You can buy used ones in the forum in good shape for like $600 plus good tires exist like Michelin PSS in the stock 245/275 widths for a lot less money than aftermarket 18/19" sizes.

Those brick yards are nice. Does a 18/19 with 265/35/18 & 305/30/19 fit with no clearance issues

Thanks man. Have to slam the c5 to look right. And get bilstein sort shocks to ride right . It's a good combo.

that's probably the best looking cray wheel i've seen yet...and i hate cray, or did, that one is alright though

the tsw wheels use garbage paint, so, if you want something that looks decent with those you have to shoot your own base/clear. that matte black finish is basically a great primer to shoot on top of

also fairly sure the pss is unavailable in the stock c5 sizes

CCWs or forgestars would be my choice.

TSWs don't look bad

I had to use a 1/4" spacer since I got the 19x11 rear instead of 19x10.5. If you use the 19x10.5 it will work right without spacers.

245 front and 275 or 285 rear is available, you might not get the exact same sizes as stock but you can get something that works. It's only the Z06 widths that don't work.

Troy do you have any pics you can post of your setup with the 19x11. The wheels I was looking at were 10.5s 65mm, I just don't want them to stick out past the fender

245 45 17 and 265 40 18 would be the only real option if you want to maintain near the correct height split. 285 35 18 is a bit short

that actually would work pretty well
