Default 2000 hot/cold NO Air problem

Picked up a 2000 Vette with only 33,400 miles.
The car looks and drives like new
The air is cold on the pass side but warm on the driver's side.
Had the sys vac'd and filled and still no cold air on my side but the pass. side is even colder.
Both actuators work fine.
Already had the dash out.
Pulled #27 and unhooked Batt a few times.
While the dash was out I worked both doors by hand with the air on and still cold only on the right side of the car.
While the dash was out I stuck my hand down inside the AC box.
I had warm air only on drivers side and ice cold on pass side.

Now
This past weekend I went to town and I have no air but the controls say the air is coming out at 34 degrees and the air wont cut on when you push the button.

Thanks for any help y'all can offer
I love the car
Waited 40yrs to buy a Vette
Had it 2 months and thinking I may need to trade it in.

Did you check the DIC for HVAC codes? Are you sure you are not confusing the outside temp with the AC (The AC will not go down to 34. I don't think), if the controller is reading 34 as an outside temp, the AC is not going to come on, and you probably have a bad outside temp sensor, which is located along the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side.

You could be right.
Like I said it's my first and with all the heat in Al I havn't been in it enough to learn everything.

The temp reading I'm talking about shows up on the AC head unit as EXT 34

When I first got the car it would say EXT 60 or 70 and the air worked on the pass side only.

But would that make only one side of the air work ?

Thanks TA

I had the exact same problem a month ago. After you install the new sensor you have to drive the car for a bit before the computer will update the temp.

the one side not working could be two things, low Freon or a bad actuator, of the two I would check the Freon charge. Also check the DIC for HVAC codes and notice after you start the car if there is a H or C after the code (History or Current).and repost. There is a lot of info on these issues here. Good luck, and relax.
You might also try cleaning the connectors on the temp sensor , drive it, and see if it works (if its 100 out and reading 34, its not working, LOL)

A couple of months ago my ac was cold as heck on the passenger side and hot air on the drivers side, I had to replace the left actuator for it to work and it has been working like it should be now, As asked before, Did you pull the codes? If it is a actuator you should have a code for it.
