Z06 Wheel touch up
Hi,
Got a scratch in wheel this weekend, and would like to repair it.
Anyone know of touch up available?? Where one can get it?

Here's the info I got from Bob at Fichtner Chevrolet awhile back:
The paint code for the Z06 wheels is WA 9967, you can
get it mixed at any good automotive paint dept. GM does not offer
it in a touchup tube at this time.

I was pretty happy with the repair that Wheels America did for me about a year ago, but I have noticed that the paint used in the refinishing is starting to crack off. I have been looking into maybe powdercoating, but some people have said that powdercoating will also crack off :confused:. I had a dupont paint shop mix me up some paint to match the GM paint code and put it into a spray can, but haven't got the nerve yet to spray the wheel yet. :D

I doubt that WA9967 is the correct paint code. I know Bob at Fichtner's says it is but if you look up WA9967 it is listed as Sparkle Silver Metalic and is listed as the wheel paint for almost every 2001 - 2002 Chevrolet. Therefore, I doubt it's the Z06 wheel color.

I noticed some rock chips on my rims... I'll be happy when we figure out what paint and how to repaint them. I'm thinking a feather sand and touch-up.
