does anyone have a flywheel lock tool that I could barrow? would prefer the kent moore one if any one has I,
going to be in the process of installing a ECS S/C on my 03Z06 I have gotten my stock crank bolt out that was easy, but I was reading about people using the J-42386-A kent moore locking tool and it helps torqueing the new crank bolt down to the correct specs...

you don't need one of those to torque the crank bolt... just put it in 4th gear, pull the parking brake as tight as you can, and chock the front and back of the rear wheels... if the front is on jackstands just be safe and keep an eye on it when torquing the bolt to make sure the car doesn't walk forward... I did mine this way and it didn't budge

I read a few post's on here where they said to put the car in 5th as well as chock the rear wheels and pulled the e-brake and that did work great to get the crank bolt off...my car is on jack stand's with the steering rack removed as well as the front wheel's.. like I said I am waiting for my S/C kit to get here, and I thought that would be safer in my situation just not to chance getting me hurt or the car.hope that makes sense

you could just lower the rear wheels on the ground and use that method to tighten the bolt... my front wheels were off the ground when I did mine and the car never moved, just do it carefully and you should be fine... or you can buy a tool, that will work too... I was just giving an alternative method to avoid spending money or waiting for it to arrive in the mail

thank you for taking time to give me ideals in my head to work this out
