Since it's confession time..............just this past Wednesday, went to Auto Zone, brought 3 qts of Brake Fluid. Double bagged, sat bag on front seat and went on my way, went into a turn, bag started to fall...instant reaction was to grab bag while going into a curve.....yup, clipped the front right side tire on the curb ....crapped my pants and when I got home I looked at the tire...tore a nice size chunk out of side wall and scuffed the rim. Tire still holds air so I crazy glued the hanging chunk back into place and the car is parked until the new tire gets here
and to add insult to injury, the tire is about 6 months old
We've all either done similar things or damn close to it.
Here's one.......... how many jack pucks have you lost because you forgot to take them out after working on the car. Duh! After losing 3 of the real pretty Elite Engineering Aluminum ones, I now use $2.00 hockey pucks!
I admit. Drove about 30 mn with one still on car. Lucky for me it was still hanging on when I looked.
Had a Nova when I was in school. Drove it up on ramps to drain the oil, screwed the plug back in.Started it and drove it back down the ramps so I could put in the new oil when the car was lower. DUH!! Lucky - it still ran, no blue smoke.
