Stock 2004 tail pipe diameter
What is the diameter of the four stock tailpipes coming out of the mufflers on a factory 2004 Corvette muffler.
I want to get some exhaust tips that look better that the factory ones.
What inlet diameter do I need?

A bit bigger than 2". I just had some tips put on, a bit nicer a fuller that the stock Z06 ones. The biggest issue was finding someone willing to do it on the car due to the close proximity with plastics and composites. Found a good Tig/Mig guy who did it in an hour. He had to fabricate adaptors using the pipe spreader, tacked 'em on to get a good eyeball on 'em, adjusted left-right and (critical) top view-down, and then beaded them on.
No drippy leaks, and they look great (they're flush and under the valance completely, I think parallax in the photo makes 'em look more outside than they are).

So I finally remembered that I know some basic geometry.
I got a sewing tape measure and measured the circumference.
It is 5 1/2 inches.
Basic math - Circumference = Diameter X pi (3.14)
so 5.5 / 3.14 = 1.75159... = 1 3/4 inches.
I double checked by actually measuring the diameter across one pipe. It is 1 3/4 inches.
