Still debating whether to purchase a bra for around $100 or have 3M film (invisible bra) installed on the nose and mirrors for around $400.
The "main" concern with the bra is the license plate display. Instructions on the internet state that "an X at a length of no more than 4 inches needs to be made" to relieve pressure from the material making it possible to mount the license plate over the top of the mask. This seems cumbersome and it appears that I would then need to make several holes in the mask in order to mount the license!
I would be interested in hearing from those of you that have the masks and need to display your plates how you managed to do so and if there is a mask with the hole "pre-cut" and possibly covered with plastic or screen material?
I would also like to hear from those that went the 3M film route and how it's holding up and appears relative to shine vs the rest of the car.
Currently don't have any chips on the nose or mirrors and will be taking a trip on the Interstate and want to alleviate damage.

I have to run a front plate and use the GM bra on the car. It has a clear plastic window over the license plate area that allows for at least the plate lettering/numbers to show through. Haven't had any problems from LEOs with it like that.

I have seen those from a distance and the window display looks very narrow. A couple of questions for you:
1) Do you know the GM part number for your bra?
2) The numbers/letters on my plate are approximately 3" x 10". I was wondering if you could tell me the size of the window cut on the bra.
3) After the initial install, how long does it take to install it and to remove it?
Thanks for your quick response!
I decided to go with the 3M film invisible bra on the front end and both mirrors. My reasoning was then it's over and done with and I don't have to think about it anymore. The license plate issue had something to do with it, but it was as much about my not being really crazy about the appearance or the hassle of installing, removing, getting caught it the rain and drying it out, etc.
There doesn't seem to be any doubt that owner's like the GM bra and that it provides superior protection. Don't know that it's for me!

Sorry, been away from home and just saw your questions. Guess my answers don’t really matter now that you have gotten the 3M film installed. I have some 3M film on mine also and have been pleased. Best of luck with yours - it should do the job you want.

Not a problem as I researched the 3M bra (#19202113) and feel it would work and those that use it, along with yourself, have nothing but good things to say about it. However, after a lot of thought just didn't feel the black vinyl bra would be the best option for me!
I don't have the 3M film installed yet, but will arrange to have it done in the next 1-2 weeks.
Where do you have 3M film on yours. I assume it's not the nose being you're using the GM bra!
