Today me and my brother Ferg03Z06 installed a vararam and powerduct onto my 03 C5Z. The written instructions are CRAP but the video I found online was much better.
My Z06 has a Fast 102, LS2 TB, and has no MAF so the mounting locations weren't exactly stock. The install was not difficult and was straight forward. After some adjusting with coupler length and different coupler combos everything lined up very well.
The quality of the Vararam wasn't top notch plastic or anything but its better than most for the $ you spend. All the pieces lined up nice and the gaskets were thick and stayed in place. We got everything installed and put together and went for a drive...
I can't say that I really noticed an increase in power or anything, but throttle response seemed to be better. I also got no DIC codes and didn't seem to have any air leaks.
I'm a happy camper with zero complaints. Plan on installing a Vararam intake on Ferg03Z06 here in a couple weeks.

what motor do you have?... a 102 is a big intake for an ls6, and is there a reason you're sd tuned?... I had a vararam for a few years, crappy build quality but it does work and that matters most in this case... you can't really see it once it's installed so the build quality isn't much of an issue
I have a LS6 but its got a cam and other things. The 102 intake was on the car when I got it as was a 102 TB I talked to my tuner and he said that most of my issues were from the 102 TB so I swapped it for a ported LS2. It had a speed density tune when I got it, but I was given the MAF when I bought the car.
I am wanting to go back to a MAF tune for driveability issues and a LS2 TB and Vararam is the easiest way for me to do that.
