Hi, my 2004 LeMans ZO6 has a somewhat slight rhythmic noise more noticeable from the dashboard area since I bought it at 18k miles. Does not sound bad like a valve tick or major mechanical issue for sure. No performance or mileage is being effected. Starts, runs and cruises great. Noise more evident at highway speeds.
Only 28k miles now, noise is no worse or better. Car has the typical 6spd with transaxle set up.
Nature of the beast, as vettes are not noted for a quite ride, or?
My first thought would be tire noise since it is happening at speed. Is it a cyclic noise, or constant?
More cyclic, I just replaced the rear tires the 335's the guy before had on the car were ridiculous. Switched to the stock 295's and much better. The fronts are 275 from the factory, stock should be 265, maybe that's it? The tire are on great shape but they are 10 years old.

Thanks for the input, I'll get some new fronts the stock size

I would replace the fronts regardless due to age. That may be the culprit...keep us posted.
