Default Need help!!

Hello guys I'm a new 02 z owner.. The car is all stock with 34k on it .. Last week I bought a blackwing intake that came with a vr air bridge from a forum member and I installed it took my time made sure that everything is snug and there are no leaks however I could swear that my car feels slower!! I lost some feeling in seat of pants driving... It's ideling smoothly no codes being thrown it just feels like I lost some torque or something... Could this just be my imagination or could this be true ??

I doubt changing the intake will make that much difference, i say make sure all the clamps are tight
Second make sure the maf sensor is in the same exact position as it was originally..the maf sensor in these cars is very sensitive and changing the angle will disturb the air flow and throw off the calibration

I figured that ... Should I disconnect the battery or is there away to get the car to re-learn the new position? Thanks

Hi Joe,
Did you move the maf when you installed the new intake or the previous owner had already done it?

No I moved it it was all stock when I got her... But the intake I bought goes as follows blackwing-red coupler-vararam air duct - maf sensor-followed by a red coupler that attaches it to the tb... I did however disconnect the battery for about 36 hours and when I started it today it ran alittle rough for about 60 secounds... After about 15 mins of driving I turned it off to fuel up when I started it again everything was cool and all of a sudden it was running like a rapped ape!!! I'm sooo confused 😖😖😤

Ok at this point it is safe to say it is your MAF causing all the issues...i would find a way to relocate it to the original position. Another possible way to fix this issue get a halltech screen which can help regulate flow... The best way would be to tune the car..
Also check make sure the maf is not backwards, there is an arrow on it which indicates air flow..

Thanks bro!! Yeah the arrow is right I was ver causes when I put it in I'm guessing I can move it back with just a new piece of this red coupler but the car seems to be running good since the reset... I have no idea if it worked or it's just a for right now kinda fix.. But I'll see how it plays out
