I have had my SWPS replaced twice, so I know what to look for when it goes out. However, my issue is that it throws the 1287 code only in the mornings, if it is wet, damp, or humid outside. Once I resest it, it does not come back on no matter how long it sets or how long I drive it. When I leave work, if it is wet, damp, or humid outside, it does not throw the code. If it is hot and dry ouside, like it is here in the summer, it won't throw the code in the morning.
Any ideas on what may be going on? I don't want to replace it again if it really isn't needed.
Well, I cleaned both grounds on the front rail, which were not bad looking at all, and still had the problem this morning. From post #2, it looks like it may be linked to ground 201, which is at the bottom of the A-pillar.
From: Gurnee IL. so close to Wisc. I can smell it when they cut the cheese

How do I get to this ground?
Pull the interior trim on the door sills then the kick panels you will then see the grounds

Ok, I have been searching to find out exactly how and what to remove. Does anyone have step-by-step instructions? I am afraid of damaging this high dollar plastic.
