I'm a firm believer in in the saying "there's no replacement for displacement". I am an older guy and love N/A motors. Increasing the displacement on my 02 Z06 is something I would love to do. I have read about conversions here on the forum with LS7's and 418 LS3's etc. but have never had the opportunity to to meet someone who had done this. Well that was taken care of this past Sunday by I guy I just met here on the forum, PeteZ06. I had read his threads here for a while and since he is located near me I gave him a shout. We decided to meet up and a local cruise night on HWY 20. His car is awesome and Pete is a really good guy as he explained everything he had done.
When we left he rolled along side of me and my 19 yr old son in my Z. Pete hit it some and the car got a little squirrely he let off it and then spun the drag radials pretty hard. After that he was freakin gone. That thing just took off. My son stated it was like a rocket lol. I've been around some fast cars and Pete's Z impressed the crap out of me. My kid said later "well your car is still fast dad" Yeah rt thanks lol.

Priceless support from the son Looks like we can all look forward to your up coming POWA thread! Glad you got out with your son and got to enjoy some cruisin with good people! I have pondered the same thing myself!
