Fan stopped working...Help

Question guys, one of my cooling fans froze up. Do i need to order two fans, or can i order just one? All i found is two.

Sometimes all they need is a shot of lubricant to free up. Had this happen to both fans in my 5 series BMW and it worked both times. Never had to replace them.

You can get the motors only. Rockauto has 3 different ones for you to chose from.

If you pull the fan shroud for repairs, I recommend that after you unclip the shroud from the radiator you slip a piece of cardboard between the shroud and radiator to protect the radiator fins while you work the shroud out. I took mine out the top.

Also, I was unable to get to all of the clips and motor plugs on the fan shroud without first unbolting the stabilizer bar hold downs. Then the stabilizer bar could be moved out of the way without unbolting the stabilizer bar end links.
