So i ran into a C7 guy today. After talking and then something else he was so mad that he said he is trading it in for a c7 Zo6 when they come out. I said hit me up when you do. Mostly because I want to see it. More so if he gets the automatic lol.

So what have you done to yours that you can beat a C7? Sure can't be stock unless the C7 driver is totally incompetent.
Quite a bit according to his profile...
"A&A stage II engine block with forged internals, A&A supercharger kit, Procharger P1SC with Intercooler, “Mayhem II” Cam, Scorpion 1.7 Roller Rocker arms, Methanol Injection, Dynomax Supermax Headers and high-flow cats, 3.73 rear gears, 2 Bar MAP"

Yes and a few other items like a Stage IV 6spd RPM transmission, 60lbs injectors and secondary A&A fuel pump with a Walboro in tank with racetronics harness and a BAP. Few other minor things. Last Dyno 739RWP.

Apples and Oranges.
Stock for Stock or same amount of money put into both, story would be different.

I would beg to differ. Unless the C7 has the drag cof of .29 like the C5. Reason the C5 and C6 with same amount HP couldn't hit the same times or speed.

Stock HP of the C5 is 350.
Stock HP of the C6 is 405 or 430 depending on year.
Stock HP of the C7 is 460.
As stated before, stock for stock or same amount of money put into both. The results would be different.

I agree the stock vs stock the c7 would probably win. But HP is not the way all on speed. Weight to power and gears play a big part. And at higher speeds wind resistance plays a big factor.
Stock C7, $64k vs 800 hp C5 $35k....
Seems the C7 should still win...
It would take the $85k C7 Z06, and another $6k for a super charger to beat my
Supercharged C5 that I only have $22k in. I really thought about getting the C7...
but saw it as a performance down grade.
I need a new clutch and did not want to drop the money. But after doing the math a new
clutch is a lot cheaper then a new corvette.
I try to not care about the year and only look at the cost vs performance.
I would hate to have a guy beat me on a road coarse who had 1/4 the money in his car.
I sure like the looks and the base numbers of that new z06.
I'm just not in that income bracket.

Sooooooo.......would you also laugh at a kid on a tricycle after beating him with a AA/Fuel dragster?!?!?!?!?
After all, yours is basically a street-legal race car and his was off the show room floor. Doesn't sound like a fair match-up to me, but then what do I know, mine is still all stock (for now).

If the kid spent $60k on his tricycle and asked me to race...
Yes, I would laugh my *** off, then take him home to his dad.

Don't recall saying a laughed. He struck up the conversation and he wanted to do it. That is after he knew all I had. It was fun he had fun and we talked more after. He is rich in sure he will have a c7 z06 as soon as possible.
