Great First Summer with the Corvette

This car was better off than was advertised, given I'm no stranger to mods I knew the potential for serious maintenance/repairs were a major risk picking up a car like this. I did as much research as I could on the seller and his car and made the choice that felt right. I have put on just shy of 2000miles on it. Over the summer the only repairs/maintenance I have done are the following...
-replace the supercharger serpentine belt (21$)
-replace gasket under brake master cylinder cap (6$)
-repair the relays on both passenger and driver door DCM(15$)
-install check valve in windshield washer lines to prevent leaking from nozzles when driving spiritied (7$)
-Ranger Clutch Fluid Flush(6$)
In addition I also did the following mods to customize the car to 'make it my own' so to say.
-Installed Pionner 80PRS HUD and polk front and rear speakers.
-Installed RadioFlyer LED Halo Taillights
-Installed RadioFlyer LED Front Switchback Signal Markers
-Anti Venom Mod
-C6Z shift ****
-SacCity Fangs
-Rocker Panel Rails
-Had the halo and rear bumper diffuser section wrapped in gloss black vinyl
-Windows Tinted 20%
-Installed Z06 brake ducts
Thus far I'm only 50$ in for maintenance/repairs for 2000miles on a site unseen car that dynoed here at 611whp. I did all the work myself and enjoyed getting acquainted with the car.
Crazy as it sounds I had never even driven a Corvette until getting into it when it was pulled off the truck. I have had a couple of quick cars in my day and wanted something that would not compare to those cars through blowing them out of the water in performance but while having a sense of prestige.
The Corvette has delivered on both fronts and then some. It has been a dream to drive this summer, every time I've taken it out it has been a treat to drive. My wife and family have thoroughly enjoyed it and I try to make sure when I drive it, someone is in the passenger seat. I have had nothing but fond memories made thus far.
My dad, who has been a life long fan of the corvette but never owned one, appears to be poised to get a C7. He had convinced himself over the years he was too old to enjoy a corvette enough to justify buying one. However after going on many rides with me over the summer he has changed his mind and has his sites set on picking one up.
Sorry for the rant post, the feeling summer is over has really sunk in now the colder weather has been moving in. It has been a lot of fun reflecting about the memories I've made this summer with those dearest to me in the car. I will have a grin from ear to ear when looking back on the summer of 2014, hope you all enjoyed your corvette as much as I did mine.

Couple of the latest pics of the car as it sits now...

Congratulations on your corvette, hope you had an awesome summer with it. My dad has wanted a Corvette since he was kid, I hope he finally makes the plunge and fulfills his lifelong dream sooner than later.
I was going to drive to NJ to pick it up, but I was afraid after spending so many hours driving to look at others that ended up not being close to as advertised; it was a huge risk of my limited time and possible waste of funds. Also, I was very on the fence with the tan interior - wanted red/black. Plan was to make it a little more subtle and add black cloth corbeaus.
After getting mine and spending what seems to have been a small fortune with thousands left; I wish I'd have picked it up.
Best of luck with it!

Warning, there are few cases of guys being cured of this.....
Nice C5 you have, for sure.
And so it begins.
