Hello all, brand new to the forum and brand new 1998 C5 owner here. I was wondering if I could get a little advice on some interior mods that aren't too flashy but still add a lot to the look/comfort.

Not cheap, but Vette Essentials makes some outstanding all leather seat skins for the car as well as other leather goodies that replace stock pieces (like door pulls, arm rests, center console covers, shift boot/****, e-brake handle and boot).
(Ignore all the junk in the hatch area. )
And if you don't want to spend that much, there are other companies that make great looking products at a cheaper price. Redline is one of them.
My interior is a combination of Vette Essentials, DD Mods, and DSV components. Not cheap, but a lot better than the OEM materials. Plus it's the only mod I really enjoy every time I drive the car. Whether or not I'm in a traffic jam or on the open road.
> Car mats as in a few of the cars above, embossed with flags
> LED interior lighting - big difference, lots of dealers sell them in a pack
> Coloured sticker for the Steering wheel centre....
enjoy the money pit! it will get hold of you!!

What color is your exterior/interior?
Two tone wheelskin, armrest, shift and emergency brake boot and colored floor mats are good starters
I started with an MGW shifter, then replaced the boots and handbrake lever (RedlineGoods).
Then:
Steering wheel (RedlineGoods)
Stereo & console in leather (DD Mods)
Seats (Recaro), door panels, A-pillars, header trim & visors in leather (local)
Heres mine, its a bit overdone but that's how I like mine, some people think its too much but in the end i'm the only one who has to live with it, anyways, here are some ideas for you, Corvettebob
Adding a link to my Grand Sport project thread to give you some ideas. Covers more than just interior, but you may see something you like or that sparks another idea for you...

Best advice I can give - before you just start doing mods for the sake of mods, figure out a theme for your car. What do you want it to be when you are done? Then, the mods that fall in line with your theme will start to become apparent.
Best of all, when you are done you will have an awesome looking C5 , not one that simply looks like a collection of various unrelated mods.
Good luck and post up some pics of your car and your mods when you can!
